Aang is born as an airlord and is raised by monks. He becomes the reborn avatar airlord, and learns the avatarcycle. He has to start with water, then earth and then fire. So he can manipulate all element. Katara helps Aang to manipulate water. Toph helps him with earthmanipulation and Zuko with fire. Katara is the one Aang has a crush on. Other characters in this world are: Iroh, the firemaster, Azula (controls lightning), Appa (a flying bison, Aang’s guide), Momo (the flyingringtail) and Ozai (controls fire and lightning).
If an avatar dies, the spirit of the planet reincarnates in an unbornchild. The avatar is reborn and has to learn new places and rule them.
